To go with the Wilton Sports Ball Pan, you have to have some mini-ball cake pans too!  These are great for creating over-sized cup-cake circles to accompany your feature ball cake.

With only a 3.5″ diameter, these six little molds will turn out 3 delicious smaller balls to go with the main attraction.

You can really let your imagination run wild with planets, sports themes, or crazy creations such as lady-bugs, spiders, dinosaurs and more!

Made from high quality anodized aluminum the cake pan should last a good while, and the finished cakes are relatively easy to remove once cooked.   Remember though, these are not non-stick and you will have to grease them very thoroughly indeed.  Aluminum is very good at conducting heat too, and with such small cakes burning is a possibility so you will probably need to lower the oven temperature a notch and remember these little delights will cook very quickly indeed.  As with many Wilton Cake pans novelty is the key factor you pay for.  You can buy sturdier and perhaps longer lasting cake pans for the money, but if you want a little fun in your kitchen they are a good economical buy, particularly since you are unlikely to be using them everyday!

A single standard cake mix should let you create around 10 to 12 balls so it is worth buying a couple of these to save on baking time.
